I love Sandra Brown novels. She is a very talented author who can craft stories I remember many years later ( Rainwater). But this just didn't work for me.I liked the beginning with the crusty pilot handling extremely bad weather. But then the story started to loose me. I couldn't connect with any of the characters. The H & h seemed whiny and behaved TSTL. Their back stories should have been fascinating but it felt like too much psychology and talk and not enough action. The action was odd and so were the villains. The small town cops and the fellow manning the tower were completely authentic. The rest of the characters were off. I actually found it uncomfortable to read.
A great story requires two important aspects; quality writing and quality story telling. The story telling part here was fragmented, plodding, and lacked believability.

Tailspin edition by Sandra Brown Mystery Thriller Suspense eBooks Reviews
There is something about Sandra Brown's books that are the perfect formula for me as a reader. I love mystery/suspense books, but the fast pace, suspense (although often a bit predictable, in all honesty), and romance create a book that i can't put down, or if I do, I can't wait to end my work day to get back to it. It was like this again with Tailspin. I'm so glad that her books continue to draw me in. I have read too many authors who, after this many books, are phoning it in and I've stopped buying their books because they are an insult to me as a fan. NOT Sandra Brown. Good job again!
Really ridiculous story with a long drawn out tale that seemed to repeat itself over and over. I’ll take a pass on her next novel
Finally gave up after over 100 pages. Have read all of her books & this one seems to be written by someone else. Too many nonessential characters, way too much detail & boring. Will be very careful on my next purchase of her books.
I think some one else wrote this book. Did not recognize anything about it except of a couple of sex scenes. Maybe next time
I have read every book Sandra Brown has written (some more than one time!). This one was a disappointment. There were too many implausible events and I did not feel the steam between the characters that usually exists in her stories. Next time I'll re-read Envy or The Crush but never this one.
I disliked this book the least of all that she has written so far. There wasn't much suspense and the romance was almost non existent. Wish I'd waited for a used copy in the library instead of wasting my money.
You can always count on Brown to drive the plot with people you care about and their relationship to one another. Holds true in this one yet again.
There’s complexity to the plot but it doesn’t overwhelm the primary aspect of the tale. Rye isn’t as wrecked as some she’s written about but he definitely struggles with the past. Brynn has her share of baggage to overcome. The terror level remains high almost entirely throughout so it’s a page turner.
Brown has quite a backlist. I highly recommend this and many of her previous books. Tailspin is 4 1/2 stars of goodness!
